LVCOFD2 Stations and Equipment

Fire District 2 is the largest fire district in Leavenworth County, covering 92 square miles of Kansas including a portion of Interstate 70.  This page details the stations and some of the equipment that is used to get this job done.


Fire Stations

Station 1 is located at 100 Main St, Linwood Kansas.  Boasting multiple rooms for residents, Station 1 also houses Engine 21, Brush 21, Brush 211, Tanker 21, Squad 21, and Ladder 21.

Station 2 is located at 12755 238th St, Linwood, KS 66052.  Station 2 houses Engine 22, Brush 221, and UTV 22.

Station 3 is located at 16971 Kreider Rd, Bonner Springs, KS 66012.  Station 3 houses Tanker 23, Rescue 23, Brush 23, and UTV 23.

Department Vehicles

Engine 21

Engine 21 can push 750 gallons of onboard water through a pump with a 1250 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) pump.

Tanker 21

Primarily designed as a water hauler, Tanker 21 uses a 500 GPM pump to move the 2000 gallon water capacity.

Brush 21

Brush 21 is a mobile brush truck with a 300 GPM pump and 300 gallons of water onboard.

Brush 22

Brush 22 has a water capacity of 250 gallons and a 300 GPM pump.

Ladder 21

Ladder 21 provides aerial support for large structure fires and tall building rescues.

Tanker 23

Tanker 23 is another water hauler with a 500 GPM pump and a 2000 gallon water capacity.

Brush 211

Brush 211 is a lightweight brush truck with a 300 GPM pump that can flow the 300 gallons of onboard water.

Squad 21

Squad 21 is a rapid-response medical vehicle for residents carrying medical equipment.
